Prescriptions
New or Acute Prescriptions
Available by request, subject to regular medication reviews by the Doctor. Please request prescriptions at least 72 hours in advance (working days). If you live more than 1 mile from the nearest Chemist we are able to dispense your medication at the surgery after 72 hours of receiving your request (during opening hours).
To order your repeat prescription online you must register with NHS Wales App.
Requests for prescriptions from clinics (NHS or Private) should be communicated in writing to the surgery by the consultant or specialist and need a working week to process for the GP to approve.
For any request that is urgent the specialist should provide you with at least 7 days of medication as agreed by the BMA (British Medical Association).
Your GP has the right to refuse to prescribe an item or prescribe an alternative if it is thought to be inappropriate for any reason such as cost to the NHS or not suitable because of other medication or not deemed suitable for GP prescribing.
Requests for medication not on your repeat prescription(but that you have received previously) will need to be approved by a GP and will take 72 hrs to process. Any emergency request will be passed to the on-call GP on the day in question for consideration and approval.

We do not accept medication requests over the phone due to safety reasons and guidance from BCUHB. Telephone queries to the dispensary are available on the direct number 01286 684120 between the hours of 10.00-12..30pm & 3pm-5.00pm Monday to Friday. |
In Person |
You can leave your request for medication in one of our two drop off boxes located at the entrance to Hafan Iechyd. A black box is located near the main entrance on the wall near the doors, this is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also have a red box located near the lift on the ground floor. |

Address your request to the Dispensary, Hafan Iechyd, Doc Fictoria, Caernarfon LL55 1TH. If you require the prescription (paper copy) to be returned to you, please include a stamped self-address envelope. |

The dispensary is open for collection 8.30am-12.30pm & 1pm-5.00pm Monday to Friday.
